IF IT GIVES YOU PLEASURE...
Carol and Tim's experience brings out the theme of this book,
an essential ingredient in avoiding sexual monotony. Each of the five
senses has a part to play in imaginative lovemaking. Any creative lover
can use these senses to enhance the sensuality of the moment. Carol used
the smell of the candle, the taste of the wine, the feel of the condom,
and the sound of the music. There are so many possibilities.
Throughout this book, I want to encourage you to use each of your senses
to its fullest, to experiment in ways you may not have considered. Use
everything: cold and hot, light and dark, sweet and sour, loud and soft.
The smell of perfume, the taste of whipped cream (don't laugh; it's
silly but fun), the sight of sexy lingerie, the sound of "dirty talk,"
the feel of an erotic massage can all add to your enjoyment.
There's so much to try, so much pleasure to experience if you just relax
and don't always take sex seriously. Smile, giggle, be silly. Just have
fun.
Each of the chapters in this book deals with the use of a single sense
in lovemaking. Of course I realize that no sense stands by itself. You
can't taste without using your sense of smell. Looking and touching
frequently go together. But for the sake of structure, each chapter will
concentrate on a single sense.
As you read, gather ideas. If you find that you're excited by an idea,
try it as soon as you can. Interrupt your reading to make love to your
partner. The rest of the reading can wait for another day.
